By Sohail Bawa, Khatam-e-Nabuwwat Academy London
Whenever I am granted the opportunity to serve the sacred cause of the belief in Khatam-e-Nabuwwat, I feel as though every breath of life has been filled with fragrance and purpose. Today was one of those memorable and historic days that may be regarded not only as a milestone in my own life but also as a significant moment in the wider history of the Muslim Ummah.
Since the previous night, there was a unique sense of joy and spiritual excitement in the air. It felt as though it were the day of Eid, with an atmosphere of happiness and anticipation all around. Allah Almighty granted me the honour of hosting guests who had travelled from Scotland to London. It was also a source of great happiness that my entire family participated wholeheartedly in hosting this historic gathering.
Workers and supporters of Khatam-e-Nabuwwat repeatedly asked, with affection and sincerity, whether they could contribute to the hospitality arrangements. Smiling, I replied that today this privilege had come to my share, for history was being written.
For the first time on British soil, several families who had previously been followers of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani were welcomed together at one gathering. Alhamdulillah, following the historic London debate of April 29–30, 2026, they came to recognize the truth of Islam and the importance of the belief in Khatam-e-Nabuwwat, and were blessed with the opportunity to reconnect themselves with the path of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
To mark this joyful occasion, a reception was organized in a hall managed by Khatam-e-Nabuwwat Academy London, where lunch was served in honour of these respected guests. Afterwards, all participants performed the Zuhr prayer in congregation at the Academy. The majority of attendees were young people, while several married couples attended with their children. Among them were two families who, until this gathering, had not known that members of the other family had also embraced Islam in Europe after leaving Qadianism. This discovery itself became a source of great happiness and encouragement. The guests expressed heartfelt appreciation and remarked that they had never imagined receiving such a warm and sincere welcome from Khatam-e-Nabuwwat Academy London. They thanked everyone for the love, kindness, and hospitality shown to them.
During my address after Zuhr prayer, I reminded them that just as safeguarding one’s own faith is essential, so too is the responsibility of caring for the faith of one’s children, relatives, and loved ones. We must convey the truth with wisdom, compassion, and good character.
All those present expressed their determination to continue reaching out to their former associates and those still connected with the Qadiani community, conveying the message of Islam with kindness and sincerity. They remarked that for years the world had heard how many people were joining the Qadiani community, but now the time had come for the world to witness how many people were leaving Qadianism and returning to Islam.
One brother shared his personal experience, saying that it took him three years to invite his own wife successfully. He remarked, “There are so many stories to tell, Sohail Bhai. The social pressure faced by anyone who leaves the community is immense, and not everyone is able to endure it.”
The attendees also emphasized that the London debate of April 29–30, 2026, demonstrated a timeless reality: truth remains truth, and falsehood is eventually exposed.
Several participants observed that the day ordinary followers stop financially supporting the Qadiani system, its organizational structure would face serious challenges.
These new Muslim brothers and sisters appealed to Muslims everywhere not to hate ordinary Ahmadis or Mirzais, but instead to approach them with compassion, goodwill, and excellent character. In their view, many people have already reached the doorstep of Islam; what they need is someone to take them by the hand and guide them in the right direction.
At the conclusion of the event, the participants paid tribute to the efforts of Muhammad Imtiaz Bhai and Adnan Rashid, expressing appreciation for their scholarly and da‘wah contributions.
On this occasion, I also presented each of the new Muslim brothers and sisters with a copy of the English translation of the Holy Qur’an by Mufti Taqi Usmani, so that they could directly engage with the message of the Qur’an and strengthen their faith and understanding.
Alhamdulillah, today’s gathering served as a practical demonstration that da‘wah, love, wisdom, and good character remain among the most powerful means of transforming hearts. Inn sha Allah, another major piece of good news will be announced in the near future, and a grand gathering will once again be organized to mark that occasion.
May Allah Almighty grant us steadfastness in serving the belief of Khatam-e-Nabuwwat, conveying the message of Islam, and seeking the welfare of the Muslim Ummah. Aameen.
