US Vetoed “NO” to Stop Ceasefire on 75th Human Rights Anniversary

by Unzila

December 10th 2023, when United States of America celebrated 75th anniversary of Human Rights. Well, who else can be bigger stakeholder for Human Rights then US right? Who else could be more concerned about wellbeing of children, elderly, women and civilians then USA? They have been working so hard to bring peace and to provide basic rights to mankind since decades. May God bless them?

However one more thing that US did on the same day, there was a resolution being proposed at United Nations for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire at Gaza strip that too after 65 days has been passed since the genocide began, 13 out of 15 countries voted in favor to stop while Britain abstained and world’s Human rights advocate United States of America vetoed NO!! yes, you read it right, US “vetoed” not “voted”. Which leads the resolution gets rejected. This is 45th veto of US in protecting Israel being accountable.

US is supporting Human rights and celebrating its anniversaries; on the contrary, It is also supporting the Mass killing of thousands of innocents. Either the people of Gaza are lesser than humans for US or all this Human rights thing is nothing but a joke. The world is condemning US on this hypocrisy.

Israel has killed more than 20,000 civilians in Gaza half of which are children. They have bombed everywhere including schools and hospitals which are authorized by United Nations. They have used phosphorous bombs, they killed hostages, they cut down power supplies from hospitals, they deprived Gaza’s population of food, medicine and even water, they targeted news reporters and their families, they killed migrants who surrendered and were heading towards safe place declared by Israel itself!. The journey to the south had also been fraught with high dangers and destructions. Israel has unleashed the fiercest bombing ever on the impoverished narrow Gaza. In short Israel has committed every possible war crime. It has violated war policy created by United Nations, and the world kept quiet. Now finally, when someone tried to stop that genocide, US used its veto power at UN in support of Israel and let the massacre continue!!

The rejection of this resolution is unethical and inhumane and has questioned the integrity of United Nations. By vetoing this resolution, the US stands alone in casting its vote against humanity.
