“Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the apostle of Allah and the seal of the prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things.”

Ahzab (33:40).

 We have gone through this verse hundreds of times but have we ever realized that this verse is the basis of our Imaan?

Yes! Our Imaan is believing that there is NO God but Allah and Rasoolullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is His last Prophet. These two clauses are inter-connected and you cannot believe in one and ignore the other.

There are almost 100 verses and 200 ahadith on the finality of Prophethood which declare that Rasoolullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is the seal of the prophets and none other can ever be exalted to this lofty position. 

Rasoolullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) himself affirmed:

“My similitude in comparison with the other prophets before me, is that of a man who has built a house nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people go about it and wonder at its beauty, but say: ‘Would that this brick be put in its place!’ So I am that brick, and I am the last of the Prophets.” 

(Bukhari, 3535 Kitab-ul-Manaqib).

 And this finality of Rasoolullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is a status which is most solemn, an honor most distinguished, and prestige most high.

But then there is a person having inexplicable theories of Prophethood and he says that he is the last Prophet and people follow him blindly ignoring all the decisive verses of the Quran and authentic Ahadees!!

Rasoolullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) predicted about such people in his times. He said,

“The Hour shall not be established until tribes of my Ummah unite with the idolaters, and until they worship idols. And indeed there shall be thirty imposters in my Ummah, each of them claiming that he is the Prophet. And I am the last of the Prophets; there is no Prophet after me.”

(Tirmidhi 2219)

All such false claimants from Muslima Kazzab till Mirza Ghulam Qadiani have no evidence for such a claim except incoherent rantings and illogical arguments that have been rejected completely by the Muslim Ummah. They have been exposed as imposters and declared disbelievers (kafir) by the leading scholars (Ulama) and the Muslim Ummah as a whole. Scholars from all schools of thought are united on one page and every such imposter along with his followers is declared as a kafir. No matter how much he tries to call himself a Muslim, he can never be one!!

May Allah protect all of us from this fitna, Ameen!
