Charity workers from Birmingham’s As-Suffah Institute, founded by Shaykh Zahir Mahmood, have arrived in flood-stricken areas in KPK, Pakistan to help homeless people with tents, food and other essential items.

Besides chest-high water, risk of disease, and other challenges and safety issues, As-Suffah volunteers are assisting people. This encompasses their motto “The best of people are those who benefit others.”

As-Suffah so far has raised 70,000 Pounds for funds through its campaign which is expected to reach 200,000 pounds as a Cricket Tournament has also been organised on September 17 to raise more funds to help those affected by the disaster.
